Our Return Promise
We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of receiving your order. All items must be:
- In original condition (unworn, unwashed, with tags attached)
- In original packaging with all accessories
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
Non-Returnable Items
For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- Alpine Touring Boots and Mountaineering Boots (due to potential customization)
- Sport & Bouldering Shoes (hygiene reasons)
- Telemark Boots (often heat-molded to individual feet)
- Any items marked as “final sale”
How to Return or Exchange
Follow these steps to get your gear sorted:
- Initiate Your Request: Email us at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Use our template below to ensure we get all needed information.
- Wait for Authorization: Our gear specialists will review your request within 2 business days and email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions.
- Pack It Up: Securely package the item(s) with all original materials. Include a copy of your order confirmation.
- Ship It Back: Send the package to our returns center at: Trail Fit Store Returns

USANote: Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
- Processing: Once received, we’ll inspect your return and process within 3-5 business days.
Refund Information
After we receive and approve your return:
- Timing: Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after we receive your return. Depending on your payment method, it may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account.
- Method: Refunds are issued to your original payment method. For PayPal payments, refunds go back to your PayPal account.
- Amount: You’ll receive a full refund of the item price. Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Exchanges
Need a different size or color? Here’s how exchanges work:
- Follow the same return process above
- In your email, clearly state the item you’d like to exchange for
- If the exchange item costs more, you’ll need to pay the difference
- If it costs less, we’ll refund the difference
Note: Exchanges are subject to product availability. If your desired item is out of stock, we’ll issue a refund instead.

International Returns
For our global adventurers (excluding certain Asian and remote regions):
- Follow the same return process
- Mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs charges
- We recommend using a trackable shipping service
- Original shipping costs and any import duties are non-refundable
Damaged or Defective Items
If your gear arrives damaged or defective:
- Contact us immediately at [email protected]
- Include photos of the damage/defect
- We’ll cover return shipping and send a replacement or refund
